November is one of my favorite months of the year, and it is a month to focus on all that we have to be thankful for. Each day, I hope that you find things that make you smile! I am grateful for our school community even though we are apart.
Return To School Planning
As I shared last week, we are busy planning for our return to in-person instruction in a hybrid model. Last week, we compiled 52 pages of survey data and are reaching out to the remainder of families to finalize our in-person and Distance Learning numbers. Plexiglass was delivered this week and is being installed in classrooms. At Waggoner, we are planninfgfor a hybrid schedule that has all students starting at 8:15 and ending at 12:15, whether they are at home or school. All on campus students will receive a snack and a grab and go meal on the days they are at school, and food services will still provide drive up meal service to at home families. There is still lots of planning ahead, and we look forward to sharing more specifics soon.
Waggoner Star Students
We are excited to announce that Zoey Neal (2nd grade) , Natalia Del Rio Galvan (Kindergarten), and Yovanni Vargas del Real (1st grade) are the 2020-21 Waggoner Star students! They will be recognized at. the November 5th board meeting. Congratulations!

Kicking off the Winters Combined PTA fundraiser!
The Winters Combined PTA continues to work with school sites, teachers, and families to enhance the education experience for all elementary school students. 2020 has been quite a year and we still need your support. With your help, we hope to raise over $12,000. This money will be used for school supplies, teacher appreciation, virtual (and hopefully soon- in person) field trips, and much more!
This is our main fundraiser of the year and we depend on these funds to benefit every student. Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you and happy shopping!
La PTA combinada de Winters continúa trabajando con las escuelas, los maestros y las familias para mejorar la experiencia educativa de todos los estudiantes de la escuela primaria. 2020 ha sido un gran año y todavía necesitamos su apoyo.
