What we know: We are all excited to return to school and the numbers in Yolo County are improving each week! It is very possible that we will return to the red tier this week - the tier is updated by county health officials every Tuesday afternoon. You can expect an announcement from. the district office on the 24th about returning to school. Also, Yolo County Public Health Officer Dr. Amy Sisson presented a COVID health and safety update at the most recent board meeting. It was extremely informative and cleared up many questions I had. Truly the guidelines and information change so often it's challenging to keep up. Her presentation can be viewed HERE.
Lo que sabemos: ¡Todos estamos emocionados de regresar a la escuela y los números en el condado de Yolo están mejorando cada semana! Good news: Many of our staff were able to get their first (and some a second!) vaccine shot this past week or are scheduled soon! This is good news! We are grateful for Yolo County for prioritizing educators and other front line workers this time around.

Plexiglass and furniture are being placed, final supplies and PPE are being distributed, and class lists are being finalized with the changes from the most recent survey. We did have about 40 families change their placement, but we are still able to stay with our original plan for how teachers are supporting students in hybrid and long term distance learning. We will be sending out a final reminder of your child's cohort before reopening.
