First BIG day! ¡Primer GRAN día!

 Hello Waggoner Families!

Today was the first big day for Waggoner! Do you feel like this? With the move to the longer day, there are a few things I wanted to share. 

1. We are flexible and you can be too. If you have another child at home who is doing something that you need to be there for, or if you need to pick up supplies later -- it's really okay. I did hear that iReady started today at Rominger-- that was probably hard to juggle if you have a student here, too. We will be waiting until next week to start our iReady test in second grade because everything else is still so new. We also know you may have brothers and sisters at other schools. Just let us know how we can help you. 
2. This week probably feels like a lot more time online, even though it's a shorter than usual day. We appreciate feedback and will be making adjustments as we go. Until we actually try it it's hard to see how it all works. We know it will need a few changes. Thanks for your patience. 
3. The teachers are prerecording the lessons for you which is a lot of work!  We hope having those videos to watch later is helpful. And they are also designed so that if you just can't get on during the day for some reason you have the video to watch later. Zooms are for support and group and work time. Every student and family is different - not every child will need to be there the whole time every day. This may change over time. 
4. Thanks for communicating with us. I truly appreciate hearing hard things and positives. This won't be forever!

¡Hoy ha sido el primer gran día para Waggoner! Te sientes asi Con el cambio al día más largo, hay algunas cosas que quería compartir.

1. Somos flexibles y tú también puedes serlo. Si tiene otro hijo en casa que está haciendo algo para lo que necesita estar allí, o si necesita recoger suministros más tarde, está realmente bien. Escuché que iReady comenzó hoy en Rominger, eso probablemente fue difícil de hacer si también tienes un estudiante aquí. Esperaremos hasta la próxima semana para comenzar nuestro examen iReady en segundo grado porque todo lo demás es todavía muy nuevo. También sabemos que es posible que tenga hermanos y hermanas en otras escuelas. Háganos saber cómo podemos ayudarlo.
2. Esta semana probablemente parezca mucho más tiempo en línea, aunque es un día más corto de lo habitual. Agradecemos sus comentarios y haremos ajustes a medida que avanzamos. Hasta que lo intentemos, es difícil ver cómo funciona todo. Sabemos que necesitará algunos cambios. Gracias por su paciencia.
3. ¡Los profesores están grabando las lecciones para ti, lo cual es mucho trabajo! Esperamos que sea útil tener esos videos para ver más tarde. Y también están diseñados para que si no puede seguir durante el día por alguna razón, tenga el video para ver más tarde. Los zoom son para apoyo y tiempo de trabajo y en grupo. Cada estudiante y familia es diferente; no todos los niños necesitarán estar allí todo el tiempo todos los días. Esto puede cambiar con el tiempo.
4. Gracias por comunicarte con nosotros. Realmente aprecio escuchar cosas difíciles y positivas. ¡Esto no será para siempre!
