Waggoner Wave

 It's another summer edition of the Waggoner Wave! I am hoping to answer some of your your back to school questions and share some important information. 

Waggoner Chromebooks

• Due to the extreme heat we have shortened the pickup time for August 17th to 9-12. Pickups will be drive up only and will be in the staff lot by the cafeteria. Please enter through the large gate. It will take 5-10 minutes to get your chromebook.  We will be adding another pickup time on the 24th or 25th in case you can't make it tomorrow. 
• Do I have to get a school chromebook if I already have a device? No, you may use your own device. 
• Chromebook insurance is available and forms came home in the summer mailer. It is $26. Please have exact cash or check payable to Waggoner Elementary.

First Day of School & Dolphin Distance Learning Boot Camp

• We will have a special drive up supply pickup on the first day of school. Pickup times will be announced later this week. If you can't come at that time, the supplies will be available all day- teachers will be out at the morning to say hi! 
• During Boot Camp we will still have the same hours, but not all of the LIVE times so we can meet with each family during the first 8 days. We will send out the information before school starts. We are having this soft start to the year to get everyone time to settle in with support. 

Teacher Notification

• Summer mailers went out with emergency forms and other papers last week. Please drop off anytime this week at Waggoner (boxes will be available out front). Every family who turns in their emergency cards August 17-20 will receive an email Friday August 21st with the teacher name. The teacher will send a special welcome email on the 24th.

Chromebooks Waggoner

• Debido al calor extremo, hemos reducido el tiempo de recogida del 17 de agosto al 9-12. Las camionetas se recogerán solo en el auto y estarán en el estacionamiento para el personal junto a la cafetería. Entre por la puerta grande. Tardará entre 5 y 10 minutos en obtener su Chromebook. Agregaremos otra hora de recogida el día 24 o 25 en caso de que no pueda asistir mañana.
• ¿Tengo que conseguir un Chromebook escolar si ya tengo un dispositivo? No, puede usar su propio dispositivo.
• El seguro de Chromebook está disponible y los formularios llegaron a casa en el correo de verano. Son $ 26. Por favor tenga el efectivo exacto o cheque pagadero a Waggoner Elementary.

Primer día de clases y campo de entrenamiento a distancia con delfines

• Tendremos una recogida especial de suministros en el primer día de clases. Los horarios de recogida se anunciarán a finales de esta semana. Si no puede venir a esa hora, los útiles estarán disponibles todo el día. ¡Los maestros saldrán por la mañana para saludar!
• Durante el Boot Camp seguiremos teniendo las mismas horas, pero no todas las horas EN VIVO para que podamos reunirnos con cada familia durante los primeros 8 días. Enviaremos la información antes de que comience la escuela. Estamos teniendo este comienzo de año suave para que todos tengan tiempo de adaptarse con apoyo.

Notificación la maestra

Los anuncios de verano se enviaron con formularios de emergencia y otros papeles la semana pasada. Por favor, déjelo en cualquier momento esta semana en Waggoner (las cajas estarán disponibles en el frente). Cada familia que entregue sus tarjetas de emergencia del 17 al 20 de agosto recibirá un correo electrónico el viernes 21 de agosto con el nombre de la maestra. La profesora enviará un correo electrónico especial de bienvenida el día 24.
